ORGANIZED 1912 - SPONSORED BY MILL SPRINGS SINCE 1934

Oral history relates that the Bethel Baptist Mission was begun in 1912 with worship services in local homes. In that same year, James T. Groseclose gave the land and the chapel was built. The Rev. B.C.(Bert) Cochran was the fist pastor. By, mutual agreement, April 5, 1934 Mill Spring Baptist Church became the sponsor for Bethel Baptist Mission.
